Jr Deputy Academy

The Iron County Sheriff’s Office Junior Deputy Academy is a unique experience offered by the Sheriff’s Office for high school students. It gives the students an inside look into the world of Law Enforcement. It is a two week class available for high school students, including those who have just graduated. It is run M-F from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the Iron County Sheriff’s Office. It is run annually There is no cost for tuition or materials. Lunches will be provided. However the student is required to purchase uniforms (These costs are usually less than $100). If this cost is too much for the student to bear, other arrangements can be made (No student will be turned away for financial reasons).
If interested please fill out the attached application packet below and return it to the Iron County Sheriff’s Office prior to May 10th, 2024. It will run from June 3rd to the 14th 2024 as a two-week program, ages are 14-19, ONLY 15 students will be accepted into the program.
