Our Mission

The mission of the Victim Services Program at the Iron County Sheriff's Office is to support and educate victims of crime. We are committed to upholding and defending the Victim and Witness Bill of Rights found in Utah Code 77-37-3. We act as the liaison between the victim and the criminal justice system to ensure crime victims receive the appropriate services while seeking justice.

Confidentiality Notice

Please note, pursuant to the 2019 Utah House Bill 53, this program is a systems-based advocacy program and there are limitations to confidentiality. Information shared with systems-based advocates is confidential, but may be shared with Law Enforcement, Attorney's Offices, Domestic Violence Shelters, Health Care Providers, The Utah Office for Victims of Crime, or a Parent/Guardian (if the victim is a minor and the parent is not the offender).

Mandatory Reporting

Incidents of abuse/neglect involving a child, elder, or vulnerable adult must be reported to Child Protective Services (CPS) or Adult Protective Services (APS) due to mandatory reporting laws.
